Why support is needed?

Activism thrives on the dedication of individuals who volunteer their free time to causes they are passionate about. In our society, most people rely on paid labor to sustain their lives. As a result, a common pattern emerges: people are motivated to join activist movements and groups, but often leave after a year or two due to burnout, overwhelming workloads, or financial pressure that forces them to prioritize paid work.

These frequent changes lead to a loss of knowledge, skills and expertise, which are often not passed on between movements, forcing new groups to start from scratch. The constant cycle of lost experience weakens today’s movements and, in turn, our democracy. Therefore MovingChange Collective aims to employ activists and support movements with different support structures.

Why do we need money?

Through your support, we strengthen social and environmental justice movements and enable people to be activists! Specifically, this means:

• We employ activists to strengthen movements
• We produce professional VIDEOS for activist groups and movements
• We sustain the CHANGE Planner, a movement calendar
• We make activist knowledge between different movements available
• We develop further support structures for activist groups and movements
