Activism thrives on the dedication of individuals who volunteer their free time to causes they are passionate about. In our society, most people rely on paid labor to sustain their lives. As a result, a common pattern emerges: people are motivated to join activist movements and groups, but often leave after a year or two due to burnout, overwhelming workloads, or financial pressure that forces them to prioritize paid work.<\/p>\n
These frequent changes lead to a loss of knowledge, skills and expertise, which are often not passed on between movements, forcing new groups to start from scratch. The constant cycle of lost experience weakens today’s movements and, in turn, our democracy. Therefore MovingChange Collective aims to employ activists and support movements with different support structures.<\/p>\n
